I know the whole “Gmail invite” thing is getting a bit old now, but Gmail (or Google Mail as it is now known in the UK) is still classed as beta and new accounts are only available via an invitation.
I have 95 89 invites available, so if you or anyone you know would like one please either email me or add a comment to this post and I’ll give them away on a first come, first served basis.
Gmail is a great webmail application and I’ve now switched from using a desktop POP email client (Mozilla Thunderbird) to using Gmail exclusively. Currently Google are giving away 2729MB of storage space with each account and this is steadily increasing. You can search through your messages using a Google search box, it has decent spam protection and it’s completely free. There are loads more really cool features – visit the Gmail website to find out more.
